A MESSAGE FROM TIG (2/23/2004):
Check out my new Eowyn fansite! :) :) :)

A MESSAGE FROM TIG (1/15/2004):
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
So, I imagine by now we've all seen ROTK more than once. Haha. I'm on 4 myself. I just wanted to let you all know that AMC has posted the preshow fan documentary online. You can find it HERE. It's quite delightful. This was my first time seeing it, because they are not showing it at AMC's in Michigan. It features quite a few Chicago Line Party members... especially our own Gol.. uh, I mean, Drammattex!
Which reminds me... I may be organizing a trip to see Frodo-a-go-go soon, because Drammattex is in that show right now playing the role of "Randolph". So, check your email inboxes for that.

Lastly, tickets for the next Gathering of the Fellowship have gone on sale. The exact date and location have not been announced, but the organizers are shooting for Summer 2005 in Toronto, ON. I highly recommend attending this if you're a big fan of Tolkien. It's fun for scholars, movie-goers, and purists alike. You can keep updated by going to their WEBSITE.
I already bought my Early-Bird ticket, because I wouldn't miss this for the world!

A MESSAGE FROM TIG (12/28/03):
The winners of the sword raffle have been posted! Thank you to everyone who participated!

Moviegoer response to the Dec. 16 back-to-back-to-back marathon of Lord of the Rings trilogy was so enthusiastic, AMC documented festivities at theatres in Chicago, Kansas City, and Los Angeles. The result is an entertaining three-minute featurette that AMC will exhibit as part of the AMC MovieWatcher Network's pre-feature programming.
"The featurette showcases our ability to use digital technology to create and distribute exciting original content -- in this case, putting our moviegoers on the big screen," said Richard King, senior vice president, corporate communications for AMC. "The fun of Trilogy Tuesday is contagious, and we think our featurette will bring extra holiday enjoyment to our guests."
Theatres showing the featurette are located in the New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, Dallas/Ft. Worth, Atlanta, Houston and Kansas City markets.

Thanks for the heads-up Hobbitgrrl! If anyone sees this, please email me with a report about it! Thanks! :)

A MESSAGE FROM TIG (12/19/03):
Well, I've arrived back from Toronto and I've been hearing good things about the Line Party on Tuesday. It sounds like everyone had a lot of fun! I'm glad to hear it :) I was thinking of you guys when I was in Toronto... but I was also very busy there. If you care to read the accounts of The Gathering, you can check my Livejournal. They are planning another Gathering for 2005, and I tell you now that it is very much worth attending. I had the time of my life there.
Thank you to all who really helped make the Line Party such a marvelous event. I couldn't have done it without my wonderful volunteers and the wonderful members who made it so memorible. Thank you, also, to Eric Johnson (AMC manager) for helping us so much in making the event possible. *hugs everyone* I wish I could've seen how it went face to face, but if you have stories or photos, please send them my way!

Speaking of photos! Rosamunde Brownlocks has put together an album of 90 photos from Tuesday. You can view these photos by CLICKING HERE! I will also be adding the album to the "memories page". Remember that you can always check there for photos and/or videos from past Line Party events.

On to other news... do not be sad if you think this is the end, because it's not. There are still going to be Line Party events all throughout 2004! So, I hope that you want to remain active. If you do not, and would like to be removed from the list, please email me and let me know. Things to look for in 2004 include: Andy Serkis in Chicago at the Border's on MI Ave. (scroll down for more details), summer trip to the Bristol Ren Faire, ROTK DVD release party, EE ROTK DVD release party... and that may not be all! Keep in touch, I'll do my best to get what I can going! Thank you!

A MESSAGE FROM TIG (11/7):
TORn has now released their official Line Party t-shirts. The front says "LP3" and the back had the TORn logo and a list of cities where the Line Parties are taking place (including Chicago). They would make a great keepsake! Go HERE for more info (and don't forget to check out the Chicago Line Party store too!) :)
